Martha Ann Emanuel, age 60, of Albia, Iowa, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at her residence. Martha Ann was born on December 25, 1958, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to Kenneth Eugene and Martha Ann (Vroom) Emanuel. Martha Ann was raised in Eddyville and graduated from Eddyville High School, Class of 1977. Martha Ann enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crafting and reading. Martha Ann is survived by her father, Kenny “Fats” Emanuel; three siblings, Kimberly (David) Johnson of Moravia, Tracey (Randy) Van Maanen of Eddyville, and Kenneth (Cara) Emanuel II, of Albia. She is also survived by four nieces, Chelsea (JD) Thompson, Dana (Steven) McKim, Christie (Willy) Wilson, and Ashley Emanuel; one great-niece, and four great-nephews; also her best friend, Tamra Knox. Martha Ann is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Ann Emanuel, and grandparents, Gilbert and Mabel Emanuel, and Thomas and Elizabeth Vroom. Martha Ann’s wishes were to be cremated. A Graveside service will be held Monday, May 6, 2019 at Highland Cemetery in Eddyvi8lle at 11:00 A.M. Memorials may be given in Martha Ann’s memory to her family. The Eddyville Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with services.
