Kenneth E. Van Arkel, age 75, of Eddyville, Iowa, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Hospice Serenity House of Oskaloosa, Iowa. Visitation for Kenneth will begin at 1:00 P.M., on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Parkview Bible Chapel of Eddyville. Kenneth’s family will be present at the church from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 also at the Parkview Bible Chapel in Eddyville, Iowa. Burial with military rites will follow services at Highland Cemetery of Eddyville. A memorial has been established to Kenneth’s family. Those left to cherish Kenneth’s memory are: his loving wife of fifty years; Connie (Woods) Van Arkel, children; Steve Van Arkel, Darin Van Arkel, Tina Van Arkel, and Michael (Sylvia) Van Arkel, fourteen granchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one sister; Caroline (Wilbur) Veenstra of Pella, and many other relatives and friends.Kenneth was preceded in death by his daughter; Joni Hopkins and his parents; Case and Rachel Van Arkel.
