Bob F. Sinnif, age 84, of rural Eddyville, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Vista Woods Care Center in Ottumwa, Iowa. Bob’s wishes were to be cremated, a visitation for Bob will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M at the Eddyville Funeral Chapel in Eddyville, Iowa. Bob’s family will be greeting friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Bob Sinnif was born on October 09, 1933, the son of Ora Frederick and Margaret (Cochrell) Sinnif. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.Bob was united in marriage to Roxie Darlene Oliverson on June 18, 1955 in Ottumwa, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Kathy and J.D. Bob spent over 20 years driving truck for BN transport until the company later dissolved.Bob was a local fur buyer for many years. He was a member of the AQHA and raised performance horses for over 50 years. He was also a member of the IRCA and URA. Bob is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Roxie; one daughter, Kathy Lungren (Ed) of Smithville, MO; and one son, J.D. Sinnif (Mindy) of rural Eddyville; four grandchildren, Hillary Monteclaro (Mike) of Florida, Jared Lungren (Katy) of Kansas City, MO, TJ Sinnif and Makia Sinnif both of rural Eddyville; and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Bob’s name to the Eddyville Fire and Rescue Department.
