Obituary for Karen Williams

Karen Kay Williams, daughter of Doris Sanders Moore and the late Marcus Moore quietly departed this life on Thursday March 16, 2023 at 7:55 p.m. while at Serenity Hospice House, in Oskaloosa. Karen was born February 22, 1957 in Omaha Nebraska.  Karen's parents later moved to Kirkville Iowa where Karen attended Eddyville High School graduating in May of 1975.

Karen was united in marriage to Ralph Williams March 1, 1997, and to this union were born two children Alice of rural Oskaloosa and Dale of Eddyville. Ralph preceded Karen in death on August 25, 2012.
Karen cherished the many friendships she made while employed at Eurofin Scientifics on the Cargill campus in Eddyville. Karen was an avid gardener, she loved to visit the Amish to purchase her many hanging baskets and flowers.  Karen was also a super fan of all sports if it involved the Michigan Wolverines. Go Wolverines!! But Karen's favorite past-time was spending time with her grandson's Broady and Cooper. Many of Karen's hours were spent watching activities that her children or grandchildren were participating in, many of which involved horses.

Karen was preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph Williams, her father Marcus Moore, sister-in-law Birdie, brothers-in-law Raymond, Dean, Richard, Parker, niece Teresa Dee and a special Aunt Linda Thorne. Karen's beautiful life will forever be cherished and remembered by  her children Alice and Dale, grandson's Broady and Cooper, mother Doris, siblings Karla, Kristine, Merilee, Matthew, Scott, Douglas, Jeffrey, sister-in-law Rita, brother-in-law David and a host of friends.

As were Karen's wishes she is to be cremated.  A celebration of life service will be held Thursday March 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar United Methodist Church in Cedar Iowa (2802 305th St, Cedar IA). Services entrusted with Eddyville Funeral Chapel.
